under the weather

Hello Everybody!

It has been way too long since I've written in my bear blog. But you have to understand that I was soooo tired after all those long flights from Johannesburg, South Africa to New York City to Atlanta and finally home to Seattle. I hibernated for a solid week!

Sue did go to Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto while I was recovering, and of course I missed her. I also got into a little trouble when she was on the road. That explains the picture of me!

Somehow I ended up in the trunk of Sue's old 1980 Mercedes, along with a lot of items that were going to the cleaners. Well, the rain leaked into the trunk, and some of the colors from the clothes came off on my fur. I am so emBEARassed ... what a sight!

I do look a lot better now. In fact, I was able to go to Sue's mom's house for a few days last week. She even took me to dinner with a group of her friends and I sat at the head of the table! They made a big fuss over me and not one of them said anything about my strange colors.

Oh, here is a picture of one lady who did not sit at our table. Imagine that, smoking a cigar after dinner (fortunately she went outside). Ugh!



I should be back at Sue's in a few days. On Thursday she is taking me on Amtrak to her favorite West Coast city, Vancouver, British Columbia (that's in O Canada!). Vancouver and Whistler are host cities for the 2010 Winter Games, so that is very exciting for the Pacific Northwest. Sue's mother is coming with us. They are calling it a Girls Getaway so I feel quite honored as after all, I'm a boy bear!

I am so excited to ride on the train and I promise I will have Sue take lots of photos of me and I'll write another blog as soon as I get home. Maybe I'll even blog from on the road (I'll ask Sue to bring her iBook).
